Follow up for Pierzynski’s acting job

A couple nights ago I mentioned A.J. Pierzynski pretending that he had been hit by a Ricky Romero pitch, which ultimately led to Romero losing his no-hitter, and Rob Neyer’s reaction.  I said that I equated what A.J. did to flopping in basketball.  Another of Neyer’s readers responded, elaborating much more than I did, and I’m inclined to agree with him.  Neyer calls for some sort of review to be conducted by MLB from which suspensions could be levied, much like when determining the intent of a pitcher doinking a hitter.

I think that’s crazy.  It’s just a blown call by the ump.
